The park is handicap accessible. The park and reserve are open year-round from 8 am to sunset. From April 1-September 1 Dogs and Horses are not allowed on the beach. Non-Resident entrance fee $15 weekend/Holiday, $10 weekdays.

Day passes are required for out of state visitors to Connecticut State Parks. Out of state visitors must purchase a day pass. Connecticut residents with Connecticut registered vehicles do not need to purchase a day pass since parking fees are eliminated through the Passport to the Parks program.
