Notice:: Day passes for out of state visitors should be purchased upon arrival at the park since many parks close to capacity on a frequent basis during the summer. Purchasing a pass in advance does not guarantee entry once a park is closed to capacity.
Day Passes
The park is handicapped accessible, the park offers campground toilets, parking, picnic tables, and picnic shelter. The forest recreation areas are open from 8 am to sunset. Other forest areas are open one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. Pets on a leash are permitted. Campers may have one pet per campsite. Non-Resident entrance fee $15 weekend/Holiday, $10 weekdays.Driving Directions
Off Route 44: take Route 318 in Barkhamsted. Go across the steel bridge and take an immediate left onto East River Road. The recreation area is approximately 1 mile up on the left.
