Located in Simsbury. Stratton Brook State Park nestled into the woods along the Farmington Heritage Trail. This family friendly park has many activities to offer, whether you enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming or biking.

Recreation:

Nature Center is opened from Memorial Day to Labor Day (Friday-Monday from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.) holding interpretive programs twice a day for all ages. There is no cost to visit the nature center. Swim area is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day; there are no lifeguards at the swim area. Trout Stocking occurs throughout the year in the fishing pond. Visitors may use any available picnic tables and grills. Ground fires are not allowed. Pavilion can be reserved through Reserve America for your family get togethers. Farmington Heritage Trail runs through Stratton Brook offering a nice biking trail. Park offers 4 miles of hiking trail of various levels (easy and moderate)

From Hartford, Rt 185: Follow Route 185/Simsbury Rd. Go West on Route 185 for 5.8 miles. Slight Right on E. Weatogue St. Go 1 mile and turn left onto Riverside Rd. Turn Left on Drake Hill Rd. At the Light turn left and then right on West St. Go 1.6 miles and Stratton Brook State Park will be on your left.
From Avon Rt. 44: Follow US-202 E/ Simsbury Rd. Go East 4 miles. Turn left at the light on West St. Go a half mile and Stratton brook State Park will be on your Left.
From Granby, Rt 202: Follow US-202 S/ Salmon Brook St for 6 miles. Turn Left on West St. Go 1.6 miles and Stratton Brook State Park will be on your left.
