Notice:: Day passes for out of state visitors should be purchased upon arrival at the park since many parks close to capacity on a frequent basis during the summer. Purchasing a pass in advance does not guarantee entry once a park is closed to capacity.
Day Passes
The park is handicap accessible, the park offers parking and picnic tables. The park is open from 8 am to sunset. Gates open for the season on the third Saturday in April. They are opened daily at 8:00 am and closed at sunset. Gates close for the season agter Columbus Day weekend. Winter parking is available off-season. Pets on a leash are permitted in picnic areas and on hiking trails. Pets are not allowed on the beach. Non-Resident entrance fee $15 weekend/Holiday, $10 weekdays.Driving Directions
From the South/New London area: Follow Route 85north. Park entrance is 6.7 miles past the intersection with Route 66. From Glastonbury area: Take Route 85. Park entrance is2.0 mile past the intersection with Route 94. From the North/Hartford & Massachusetts area: I-384 east to Exit 5. Take Route 85 south for 4.7 miles.
