Attention: Prior to making a reservation, please visit ctparks.com/all-terrain-wheelchairs for important information and safety guidelines. You will need to watch a training video prior to making the reservation. Following the training video, you will receive a pass number for that specific chair type. Entering the pass number is a required step in the reservation process. You will not be able to make a reservation without agreeing that you have watched the training videos, and entering the pass number for the specific chair type that you are trying to reserve.

Visitors with mobility impairments can now use our all-terrain wheelchairs to enjoy a wonderful loop trail within Wadsworth Falls State Park. The designated All-Terrain Wheelchair Loop is approximately 1.9 miles, following sections of the white and orange trails, offering a scenic and peaceful ride through a mix of hardwood forests. There will be excellent opportunities to enjoy a wide variety of birds and wildlife and contemplate the unique stone bridges created by Colonel Wadsworth when he developed his property in the rugged forested landscape.

Driving Directions

All-terrain chair users should proceed to the Wadsworth Falls State Park main entrance, located at 721 Middletown Avenue, Middletown, at the start of their reservation time.

Please note that the 'big falls' are not accessible from this location (as the trails are too far and too steep for the all-terrain wheelchairs to navigate), and you will have to drive your vehicle to view the big falls - just down the road at the Cherry Hill Road entrance in Middlefield (Rockfall).
