Dinosaur State Park is the site of a discovery of 2,000 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints. 500 footprints are on display inside the the museum. These footprints are 200 million years old. The park also features a bookshop, an auditorium where dinosaur related films are shown, a classroom, 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails and a unique track casting area (seasonal).

The Park is located one mile east of I-91 off exit 23. If you are coming from the New Haven area take a right off the exit and the park will be about 1 mile down the road on the right. Visitors coming from the Hartford area should make a left off the exit and the park will be on their right one mile down the road.
