The Mashamoquet Brook State Park Campgrounds contains 53 sites divided into two loops. The camp office is located at entrance to the Wolf Den campground loop, which has 35 sites numbered 1 through 35 in mostly open campsites with flush toilets, showers, drinking water (through Labor Day), paved site pads and a dumping station (currently closed until further notice). The Mashamoquet campground loop has 18 sites numbered 41 through 60 (no sites #47 and 58) with wooded campsites with centrally located portable toilets.
The Mashamoquet campground loop does not have running water or showers. Pond swimming is no longer available at this park as the pond has been drained.
Firewood: In an effort to protect Connecticut's forests from the introduction and spread of destructive insect pests - in particular the emerald ash borer and Asian long-horned beetle - we are taking the following action:
Prohibiting the bringing of firewood into state of Connecticut campgrounds and state parks from other states. As an alternative, firewood can be either purchased at the camp stores within the state campgrounds or at local retail sellers of firewood.
We greatly appreciate the public's assistance in helping to protect the state's natural resources and apologize for any inconvenience this initiative may cause.
