Quaddick Picnic Shelter, CT

Quaddick State Park is open from 8 am to sunset. The main entrance gate is closed after Columbus Day, reopening in the spring.

A permanent alcohol ban is in place at Quaddick State Park, and the possession or consumption of alcohol is prohibited.

Pets on a leash are permitted in the picnic area. Leashes must be no longer than seven feet. Pets are not allowed in the swimming areas or on the beach..

Visitors with Connecticut-registered vehicles are no longer required to pay a parking fee at Connecticut State Parks, since those vehicle owners have paid a small fee as part of their motor vehicle registration. Passport to the Parks Program

Visitors arriving in out-of-state registered vehicles are required to pay a day pass fee when visiting this park between April 1 and October 31. The fee is $15 on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays or $10 on weekdays. This includes all renters and guests attending a function at the picnic shelter - renting a picnic shelter does not exempt guests from their obligation to pay the parking fee if arriving in out-of-state registered vehicles.

Day passes for out of state visitors should be purchased upon arrival at the park since many parks close to capacity on a frequent basis during the summer. Purchasing a pass in advance does not guarantee entry once a park is closed to capacity. Passes are non-refundable. This park may fill to capacity during heavy weekend and holiday use. When that occurs, the gate will be closed and no additional vehicles will be allowed to enter. Picnic shelter renters and guests should plan to arrive early to avoid being turned away. The rental of a picnic shelter does not guarantee entry when the park is closed due to reaching capacity. CT Park and Forest Fees


Frequent park visitors may wish to consider purchasing a season pass, which allows unlimited entries at all Connecticut State Parks for the calendar year. Picnic Shelter Cancellation Policy:

Refund amounts will be determined as follows:
• Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the picnic shelter reservation: full refund less the $9.00 non-refundable reservation fee and $9.00 cancellation fee
• Cancellations made 6 - 29 days prior to the picnic shelter reservation: refund of $145.00 less $9.00 cancellation fee
• Cancellations made within 5 days of the picnic shelter reservation: Not eligible for a refund.

Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance before your arrival and up until 11 months in advance
